Once again, our nation suffers a deep tragedy. On behalf of the sisters of Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Incorporated, we extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to all the families, classmates, and loved ones that were affected by the devastating school shooting at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas on May 18th. We are grateful for the first responders who rushed to the school to protect the safety of the students and faculty.
The U.S. has had over 250 school shootings since 2009. No community should have to endure such a tragedy. Now is time to look at what we change to stop this devastating trend. We cannot let more incidents like these happen before a change in policy is made. Speak out, be alert of suspicious behavior, and remember to support one another in the midst of such crimes.
