This year, National Council decided to give chapter status to a group of sisters from a colony who are incredibly driven and ambitious. They are dedicated to the advancement of Delta Phi Omega both at their colony and at a national level. The sisters of this colony exemplify the pillars upon which this sisterhood was founded. It is with great honor that this year Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Incorporated has the opportunity to grant the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Colony chapter status.
These ladies are pioneers in their generation and bring unique and contemporary ideas to the table while simultaneously respecting the traditions and customs upon which this sorority was founded. In the words of their previous Greek life advisor, Keith Garcia, “UMTC colony’s successes are a direct result of the passion members find in their work. Their growth is evidence of how resonant their work is among woman on campus.” On that note, we would like to re-introduce the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Colony officially as Alpha Alpha Chapter! Congratulations ladies, we could not be more proud of all the hard work you have done to achieve such an honor!
